Sledding in Revelestoke, BC: Jan 13 - 14, 2007

Our trip to Revelstoke in January was awesome!

Dan, from Red Deer, picked Mark and I up in Calgary Friday night around 5PM. Unfortunately Jamie missed this epic trip due to work in Vancouver.

The drive to Revy took us 9 hours! Lake Louis was out of Deisel so we had to head back to Banff to fill up. Once we hit Roger's Pass we were delayed a few hours due to snow removal equipment working. I have not seen that much snow in a long time.

We finally arrived in Revy around 2AM. We booked cabins from Base2Boulder. These cabins were great. They are located half a KM from the Boulder Mtn trailhead enabled us to sled from our cabins to the trailhead. Very convenient.

We went sledding 2 days at Boulder Mountain. Vast, Unbeleviable terrain!

Here are some videos we shot!

3 feet for fresh snow

Mark and I had a great day in Golden on Sunday. There was 3 feet of fresh snow everywhere. It was snowing pretty heavy so visibility was low, but I can't complain concidering the amount of fresh snow we had.

Check the video we shot.

Golden BC - Quartz Creek

Our second trip to Quartz Creek in Golden was a lot of fun! It was snowing pretty heavy that day so visibility sucked.

The snow was pounded out (no powder) except for a few spots. We did find a few areas were there was some powder. See the video below.

First day of Sledding this season

Our first day of sledding this season was in Golden, BC at Quartz Creek - November 19th, 2006.

Amazing how much there already is in November - 7 feet deep.

Lets just say I was not prepared for it, as you can see in the first image below.
